Happy (Belated) 4th of July!

PrOuD tO bE aN aMeRiCaN!
Cute lil dude in his patriotic shirt

Dane didn't want Johnny to be in the picture so he kept pushing him out of the way. You can tell by the look on Ryan's face that he was trying to be the peacemaker:)

Dane didn't want to be in this picture either but I wanted a picture of both of the guys together to show off their shirts that G'ma and G'pa got them for the 4th of July and also compare their sizes.

We drove around to find some fireworks since we had been telling Dane about them all day. He loved them! He kept yellow out the colors and yelling out "Kaboon!" "kaboon!"
Dane has a big sombrero that he puts on and gallops around the house saying "yehaw cowboy". Ryan's parents bought this cute cowboy hat for Dane to wear instead but the first time they tried to put it on him he did NOT want to wear it and he said "NO, that hat too weird!" and ran off into his room. He came back a minute later and we tried to convince him to wear it again and he said "that hat too weird for me!" it was so funny so Ryan's dad gave him the sombrero back and Dane looked at the sombrerand said "that hat too cool!" and put it right back on. He is such a weirdo:) As you can see we finally got him to wear the cowboy hat long enough to take a picture.

Fun at Dane's Cousin's House...

Dane always walks up to kids like he is going to give them a hug but then the hug turns into a body slam. He does it at church, to random kids at the Dr.'s office, but he especially loves doing it to his cousin, Jason....Jason- does NOT like it so much. I got so many videos of these 2 boys wrestling. It was so funny to watch them go at it. Half the time they were laughing and half the time one or both of them were crying when the other one decided to scratch, pinch, or bite:)

While we were out at the pool Dane got out and walked by me but intentionally avoided eye contact with me like he was going to do something naughty. He walked straight up to the diving board and jumped off! It was hilarious. He then kept doing it over and over.

Johnny's Photo Shoot

The other day my friend invited us over to her house so that she could take some pictures of Johnny. I felt bad because Johnny screamed the whole time and Dane kept terrorizing her daughter. Even though the boys weren't in the best moods- she worked her magic and was able to come up with some really good shots. Thanks for the fun day Amanda!

I just thought this was funny becuase his arms are out like a zombie:)

More of Johnny...

Doctors orders. The Dr. said Johnny looked a little jaundiced so he has been spending some time in the sunshine. He is definately my child- he loves sun bathing:)
Cutie Pie- We are still trying to figure out who this kid looks like. He doesn't look like a Skinner but I don't think he looks like a Weston either.

I told Dane to get next to the baby so I could take a picture. This is the pose I got from him. haha! The boy is clueless!

Just a little nap during one of Ryan's study breaks. I LOVE this stage where they just sleep and cuddle on your chest all day long.

Our UNFORGETTABLE Week!

This week Ryan finished up his LAST CLASSES IN MEDICAL SCHOOL! I am so proud of him. Even though he has been under the weather (yes, testing for swine flu and pneumonia), trying to help me in my last month of pregnancy, and studying for finals and boards- he rocked his last set of finals. We enjoyed our last week with just one child and tried to prepare him for the birth of his little brother.

-38 Weeks pregnant. Days before the birth of our newest guy.

-Dad's only boy and best buddy!

And BEST of all JOHNNY WESTON SKINNER is here. He arrived May 19th weighing in at 7lbs 3 oz and 20.5 inches long. He has light hair and it looks as if he might have blue or green eyes but we will see.

-Finally he is here.
-Another son for Dad
-Johnny
-Dane thinks Johnny is the coolest little toy ever

"I don't know about this little guy??"

-my cute little boys

-sneaking kisses

-Sorry Grandma. your boys need you and I need my sleep.

-Thank you all for the meals, calls, texts, and gifts. We are so grateful to you all!

Dane's night of FUN!

Dane has been sleeping in a "big boy bed" now for almost 2 weeks. He loves his big boy bed. He has done pretty well at going to sleep and staying asleep but most nights I can hear him having conversations with himself and playing with his tool bench. Whatever! As long as he is in his room and not being too loud he can hang out in there until he falls asleep bc I still get my time;)

Usually in the mornings either he comes out with a big smile on his face or I will go in and get him. I can always count on clothes and toys being scattered all over the floor from his night of fun but this morning when Ry went to go get him.... This is what we found!

I have NO idea how we did not hear his curtains crash to the floor last night. He was just sitting in his bed and his room was a disaster! We are lucky that the curtain rod didn't hurt him(at least there were no marks on him) and he is lucky that I didn't beat him for ripping his curtains and rod out of the wall:) The rod was in 2 pieces, one of the hooks for the wall was in his bed all night with him, and the screw was under his bed. And as you can see, everything else is scattered all over the floor as I described it is most mornings.

My little manly man...

Dane has been doing this for a couple of weeks now bc he knows it will usually get me to laugh. He will not, however do it for the camera...until last night:)

Happy Birthday to my Baby!!

Dane Ryan Skinner

THEN
- 5 days old

-3 weeks old
-1 month old baby
-Dane on the day of his blessing.
NOW
Dane giving a big cheesy smile right before his birthday party began.
He has been saying he is 2 since he was 1 but now he can almost show how old he is with his fingers. We figured by the time he understood he was 1 NOT 2 he would be 2 so we didn't bother to teach him his real age.
The birthday boy got his wish. "baball upcakes" My friend and I decorated his cupcakes as baseballs, basketballs, footballs, and worms in dirt. It was fun and Dane was so excited when he saw them.
Dane and Caleb had a joint birthday party at the park and loved blowing out their candles. It was quite the efffort to get a picture of both of them with both of their candles lit at the same time:)
I guess he didn't want to get his hands dirty...
...so instead he spent the rest of his party with a frosting mustache and flavor saver. YUM!
Terrible Twos???!! No way!

:)

Dane LOVES his dad! He loves to wear his shoes, drag his backpack throughout the house, and wear his hat when Ryan wears one. (He is trying to hold up two fingers to show how old he is going to be on his birthday)
Wondering what to do with himself once Ryan left for school.
I wanted to see if the little headband/beanie I crocheted looked cute on an actual person so I tried it out on the cutest model ever! YEP!- Dad was at school and doesn't check the blog so I hopefully won't be getting in any trouble:)
Dane LOVES stacking things up right now. He loves to see how tall me can make his block, juice cups, and yes- his cars. He honestly was so proud of this "tower" but then when I got the camera he was too into his show to pose.
AND....drumroll please.....

35 weeks pregnant... Almost there...!

Just trying to keep busy...

Ryan has been a busy man studying for classes and boards so I have had to figure out things to do with my time when Dane is down for the night. I have started a couple of projects but have only finished this so far. I learned how to crochet when I was probably 12 and haven't tried it since so I was actually impressed that I remembered how to do it. I wanted a cute headband/ ear-warmer thingy for the winters (in utah of course not AZ). I did the headband pretty easy but wanted something else so I somehow made up a flower pattern and think that it turned out pretty cute. Hopefully I can get some use out of it this Christmas:)

Now I need to decide if I am going to leave the "ear-warmer" like this...
Or if I'm going to tuck the petals under so the flower is not as big. What do you think??

Ok, so I have been really bad at blogging/ checking up on blogs and have noticed that a couple of my friends have gone private without me knowing. Also I missed the boat on getting them my email before they went private. For all of those girls- PLEASE ADD ME, I will be better at checking on blogs from now on I swear. My email is carlieweston@yahoo.com.

Baby Update.

Yesterday I had my 32 week Dr. appointment. I got a 3D ultrasound and they measured the little guy to be almost 5lbs (which is in the 75-90%) and they told me he has lots of hair already, SHOCKER! I have a feeling he is going to look like his big brother. I also talked my Dr. into setting up a date for my induction!! yea! I am due May 31st but he doesn't want me to go til my due date since Dane was a big baby and made my recovery worse than it needed to be. I was able to talk him into inducing me May 21st which is the day of Ryan's last final, my Grandpa Weston's birthday, and my mom's birthday. As soon as Ryan wraps up with his last final we will head to the hospital where our Dr. said Ryan will get to deliver our little boy.

Our Little Trip to Gilbert

Last week my mom came into town and it was so fun to spend some time with her. He headed out to Gilbert to hang out with my sister and her family too which was fun. We spent pretty much all day every day by the pool which was great. Every afternoon Dane would wake up from his nap and would eat his lunch at this little table with his "bowboy" hat on. He then would be so excited to swim in the hot tub. He didn't use his floaties once while we were there. He would jump straight in the middle of the hot tub and open his eyes to find my hands and pull himself to the stairs. He might be swimming by himself before too long!

Steph's kids decided to have a lemonade/bake sale one of the days and caught sneaky little theives stealing their doughnuts and airheads when they weren't looking. Dane and his 2 1/2 year old cousin made off with lots of goods before the other kids even noticed which was so hilarious to watch.

The little guys had a great time snacking before Weston scared them off.
